“Give us this day our daily bread…”
This session at LBJC was truly blessed by baked goods from Panera Bread. The donated goods, including delicious loaves of flavored bread, rolls and sweets provided a bonus for our participants to take home to their families. Panera supplied enough food for our adult ed students to have a continental breakfast with plenty to round out our lunch menu. LBJC provided free lunches a few days a week with the invaluable help of volunteers such as Susan Larsen, Cindy Abbott and Patsy Griffiths. These gals gave hours every week during our 10 week session. We are so blessed by their gifts of time, cooking, resources and friendship.
Lunch at Life Bridge is always more than food. It is a great opportunity for friendships to blossom, for ESL students to practice English and for giving and receiving insights from each other. The food, including the generous gifts from Panera, made that possible.
Please stop at the Panera in Cedar Park and thank them for helping us serve those who are committed to helping themselves.
Breakfast for Participants
We were able to give participants bread to take home to help with their food budgets as well as serve baked goods at our Fall Job Fair.
In addition to the job fair participants enjoyed pastries and bagels in the morning at our Beauty Fair that was held to help them with career closet choices, hair cuts, make-up and head shots for future job interviews.
